Painting in Ontario

What Ontario homes and buildings need

Ontario is really two cities where paint is concerned. In the older north half, the grid around the historic downtown and Euclid Avenue holds bungalows and cottages from the 1920s through the 1950s: wood siding, deep eaves, double-hung windows and decades of layered paint. Toward the south, Ontario Ranch is newer master-planned stucco, built largely within the last fifteen years.

The two halves ask for different work. Vintage homes need slow prep, meaning scraping, feathering, spot priming, re-caulking joints and repairing wood trim and window sashes before any finish coat earns its life. Newer tracts want stucco repaints, fascia and garage doors, plus interior repaints as first owners change colors. With the airport and the warehouse district here, commercial exteriors, offices, warehouse interiors and tenant spaces are on the list as well.

Amaral Precision Painting LLC is a Corona-based contractor covering the Inland Empire, and this city sits right in the middle of our range, between Montclair, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga and Chino. Every job starts with a walkthrough and a free written estimate that spells out prep, coats and colors, with no pressure attached. We are licensed, bonded and insured under CA LIC# 1160754.

Local detail

What we watch for in Ontario

Local housing stock, exposure and construction era change the prep before they change the paint.

  • Older Downtown Homes

Bungalows near the historic core carry real wood siding, trim and sashes, often under many coats. Prep drives the result here: scrape back failing paint, sand and feather edges, prime bare wood, replace failed caulk and treat any rot before the first finish coat goes on.

  • South-Side Tract Repaints

The master-planned neighborhoods south of the city center are hitting the point where builder finishes chalk and fade, especially on west-facing walls. Those repaints are mostly crack filling, texture matching and two coats on stucco, with fascia, eaves and garage doors refreshed at the same time.

  • Warehouse and Office Work

The logistics corridor near the airport runs on schedules, so commercial repaints often happen after hours or in phases around occupied space. Warehouse interiors, dock doors, office suites and storefront exteriors each get scoped separately, and access windows and downtime are agreed in writing before work starts.

Questions

Ontario questions we get asked

My house is from the 1930s and the paint is peeling in layers. Where do you start?

With prep and an honest look at the substrate. Failing layers are scraped and sanded back to a sound edge, bare wood is primed, open joints are re-caulked and damaged trim is repaired or replaced before finish coats. Older homes vary wall to wall, so the estimate lists what each elevation needs rather than one flat number.

Do you take on warehouse and office painting, not just homes?

Yes, commercial interiors and exteriors are part of what we do, including warehouse walls, office suites, corridors and storefronts. Scheduling is the main difference: work is usually staged around operating hours and occupied areas. Tell us the access window and we will build the estimate around it.
