Yes. Amaral Precision Painting LLC holds California contractor license number 1160754, and we are bonded and insured. California requires a license for this work, and the number is public — you can look it up on the Contractors State License Board site at cslb.ca.gov to confirm the license and its status before you hire anyone.

We are based in Corona and work across 40 cities and communities in the Inland Empire and Orange County — Riverside County, the west end of San Bernardino County, the North Orange County cities over the hill through the Santa Ana Canyon, and South Orange County down the 241. It depends on square footage, ceiling heights, how much repair and masking the walls need, and whether you are changing colors dramatically or refreshing the same one. Rather than quote a generic number, we put the expected schedule in your written estimate, so you know the plan before we start and you know who to call if it moves.

Prep is most of the job. Depending on the surface that means covering floors and furniture, masking trim, glass and fixtures, scraping and sanding failed coating, filling nail holes, patching drywall, caulking gaps and joints, degreasing kitchen and bath surfaces, and spot-priming bare or stained areas so the finish coats hold. Your estimate spells out which of these your job needs.

We move what is safe for us to move and cover the rest. Larger rooms usually work best if we shift everything to the center and mask it, and we will confirm during the walkthrough what you would prefer to move yourself — electronics, artwork and anything fragile or valuable are usually better handled by the owner.

We specify the product by surface and exposure rather than defaulting to one line for everything — exterior stucco, wood trim, cabinet doors and bathroom ceilings all want different coatings. The products for your job are listed on your estimate, and if you have a brand, line or sheen you prefer, we are glad to work with it.

The shoulder seasons are kindest. Inland summer afternoons can push surface temperatures past what a coating wants, which flashes the finish, and mid-winter mornings in North Orange County can hold the marine layer long enough that the dew point slows curing. Spring and fall are ideal, but we work year-round and simply schedule elevations to follow the shade.

Yes, and it is a different job from wall painting. Doors and drawer fronts come off and get labeled, hardware is bagged by location, everything is degreased and deglossed, and the finish is sprayed for a smooth surface rather than brushed. See our cabinet painting page for the full sequence.

Yes. One important caveat: acoustic ceiling texture installed before the late 1980s can contain asbestos, so it has to be tested before anyone disturbs it. Testing and any abatement are handled by a certified specialist, not by us. Once the ceiling is cleared, we scrape, skim, re-texture to match and paint.

That is the point of a good repair. Orange peel, knockdown and skip trowel all have their own spray pattern and timing, and a patch that is flat or over-textured shows through the paint under side light. We match the surrounding texture, prime the repair so it does not flash, and blend the sheen.

Yes. Plenty of the tracts we serve — Eastvale, Chino Hills, Menifee, Yorba Linda and many others — have an approved exterior palette and an architectural review step. We will paint to the scheme you have been approved for and can put sample draw-downs up on the wall. Submitting for approval stays with the homeowner.
